Frederick
Hertz is an attorney, mediator and author. He speaks and writes often on
legal issues facing same-sex couples, and he has appeared on the Oprah
Winfrey Show, the Today Show, and NPR's Talk of the Nation. He is regularly
quoted as an expert on same-sex dissolutions, and he has been featured in
The New York Times, Harper's Magazine, The New York Observer, The Advocate
and Out Magazine, among other publications. He was recently described in the
Advocate as "one of the nation's leading experts on lesbian and gay
divorce." He blogs regularly on the subject of gay divorce on HuffingtonPost,

Frederick Hertz graduated from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law in 1981, and has practiced in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1990. His law practice is limited to formation agreements between unmarried and married couples, co-owners of real property, and family members. He serves as a mediator and arbitrator of disputes between couples, both married and unmarried, straight and gay, and family and business co-owners of real property.
